Aquana Beach Resort is located in Eratap which is about 25 minutes from the International Airport and 15 minutes from Port Vila.
Transport from the airport to the Resort can be arranged through the Resort with “Atmosphere” Bus company at a cost of $20 per Adult and $10 per Child.
You willl need 6 months validity on your passport from your planned date of return to be allowed entry into Vanuatu so check to make sure so you won’t have issues at the airport. You also need to make sure you have a copy of your return air ticket for when you arrive at Vanuatu as Immigration require this to be sighted.
Flights from Australia can be organized through Air Vanuatu and Virgin Australia.

Baby Sitting/Kids Club
Aquana’s Kids Club is fantastic! It is open from 7.30am to 9pm with Nannies keeping children entertained so their parents can relax – usually nearby. The fact that kids can roam around the resort (collecting hermit crabs and such … and always accompanied by a Nanny) and touch base with Mum and Dad whenever they feel like it results in a very secure experience for the kids. Be forewarned, your child is likely to fall in love with at least one Nanny!
Babysitting is also available on request at a very minimal additional cost – either in the Bungalow of an evening or at the Resort if Mum and Dad are going out for the day.
This can be organised when you are at the resort. For families, our Nannies can babysit in the Bungalow at only a small additional charge while Mum and Dad have dinner in a beautiful setting overlooking the water.
Duty Free Alcohol
Duty free alcohol cannot be consumed in any of the public areas including the main beach areas or in the Restaurant due to licensing restrictions.
Bookings for tours can be made after you arrive at our Tour Office. Our lovely Guest Relations Team will be able to answer all your questions and make the bookings for you.
Special Dietary Requirements
Please advise of any special dietary requirements you may have during your stay – our Chefs will do their very best to meet any of your requirements.
There is a safe available in the Resort office if you have something special that you would like secured. Just ask our managers to place your valuables in the safe in the Managers Office.
Any laundry requirements are attended to by the resort’s laundry department. Guests are able to hand in their laundry at the front desk to be washed and dried. A laundry fee applies.
Aquana provides a free bus shuttle into Port Vila every day at 10am returning at 2pm. Outside of these times, the resort can easily organize a local taxi or bus for guests to town and back. Cost for a taxi to town is VUV 2,000 vatu and from town to the resort between the hours of 7AM to 6PM is 2000 vatu with our contracted buses.
If you need transport while in Port Vila, just flag down a Bus or Taxi.. The buses have a “B” on the number plate. It’s first on first off so you may take the scenic route to get where you are going. A Taxi is identified by the “T” on the number plate and you can flag them down as well but the driver will take you to your requested destination immediately.
What is the best time of the year for weather?
This is a very difficult question to answer as Vanuatu does not have very predictable seasons due to the fact that it is very much a maritime climate. Generally speaking however, November to April are the hotter months (with February ti April the most humid) and May to October the cooler months (with July and August the coolest – although you can still expect mid 20’s in the cooler months!). September to December are the driest months in Vanuatu.
What is the tipping custom in Vanuatu?
Tipping is not expected anywhere in Vanuatu however it is not offensive to tip if you wish to.
Can we bring gifts for the village and or school, if so what sort of gifts?
Yes this is a great thing to do! Little things for the school such as stationary, paper, calculators etc are always gratefully received. One of our guests, Shane Hindman has been working tirelessly to help the village after the damage of Cyclone Pam and has a long list of quite urgent matters that need attention. He is donating his labour but any donations to help with building materials would be gratefully received. Contact our office on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information.
